The Lux Series
I should have known after hearing about all the teen-angst surrounding this series that it would have impacted me this way, but out of curiousity to the story i read all five books. And I was so glad I did!! Now if i nit pick at everything that’s comparatively subjected to the paranormal storyline that is similiar to Twilight, it would be a bashing, and I really don’t want to bash this series. Because as the story progressed it strayed so far that Twilight couldn’t even touch it. I was pulled in and I thanked the book gods that I bought the entire series. Although I wasn’t sold after Bk.1, dialogue fell short and I really wasn’t feeling any sort of empathy or connection to the characters till Onyx (Bk.2). Onyx made up for everything! The second half of this book was injected with a dose of high octane plot twists that made my jaw fall a multitude of times. Especially with the introduction of Blake. Awesome character, has a strong pair on him and brought a freaking, mouth gaping twist to enhance the adrenaline..(sorry minuscule spoiler there) Daemon, honestly i found him…’eh okay’, until the series progressed into Bk.3, he grew on me. Witty & Cocky with a Sexy attitude, a lethal combination. But my book bf will always be, the physical attributes, wittiness & sly banter of Noah Shaw (The Unbecoming of Mara Dyer), that’s where i’ll swoon and melt all over the black and white. Opal & Origin (Bks 3&4) is where this series Skyrocketed into awesomeness! The action was on point. The descriptions were fluid and I pictured everything in my mind vividly. Opposition was just the big red bow on the big gold box that held the big white cake with copious amounts of icing on top. So freaking good! Everything was wrapped up nicely. Perfect. Read if you’re into paranormalities, that includes ‘hot’ aliens and action with twists that will have you yelling ‘what the f***!’ ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️/5
